Vet-REACH held its weekly board meeting yesterday at 1000. All member were present:
S. Walling, Chair, Stacey Lopez, our Director, and Rich Lopez, Sec/Treas.
As of 2 Sep, Vet-REACH had received an additional $100, bringing our total up to $440. Off that total, $330 had been sent to S. for financing of business cards, and other necessary funds for licensing, etc.
Our FB page had now reached over 4000 folks, and over 8000 have reacted to our posts since its inception.
Rich will work on the Nevada Chapter 78 nonprofit status, and review the Nevada AOI and business license information. The Board will meet face to face next weekend, 8 Sep, to sign papers, and get ready for the step of submitting applications and licenses.
Rich will, once and for all, get his story on the blog, and reset the categories.
Rich shared a dream, in which we witnessed the grand opening of our retreat facility in the Mt. Charleston area. A large group of people were standing at the entry of the new facility. The entry was made up of floor to ceiling glass panels, with a double sliding automatic doorway entry. Inside, the flooring was a type of stone look, brownish in color. The reception desk on the opposite side of the large room was a half circle. On the wall behind the desk was a large pewter Vet-REACH logo. All of the hotel volunteers and employees were wearing different shades of light blue polos and khakis (like the helpful Honda folks lol), with the yellow and black Vet-REACH logo on the left breast.
S. added that the dream is possibly representative of a sign that we are on a true and blessed path.
2.And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habbikuk, chp 2, verse 2 and three, NKJ.
Stacey has asked Rhyddian Bravo and Mariah Lopez (our children) to render a sketch of the lobby for inclusion into Vet-REACH's plans/dreams for the future.
Once again, optimism and enthusiasm abounds, and we feel like we're moving slowly, but surely toward our goal!
